Another memorable Night at Prudence & Industry in Chard
The brethren were recently privileged to witness three events. Firstly the Assistant Provincial Master Barrie Palmer and a small provincial team delivered the Membership Challenge presentation.
Secondly Mr Michael Bowditch was then initiated into the Lodge with the support of his Grandfather John Pearce, and his partner’s Grandfather Clive Sanders. John Pearce was accompanied by two friends from his All Souls Lodge, Dorset, Kevin Abiss and the Lodge Master Alan Ward. The new initiate, Mike appeared to have a really good evening and was an excellent candidate.
Thirdly two cheques were presented. The Prudence & Industry Master Mark Rewbury donated £250 to Rob Collins of the Masonic Fishing Charity, South West Branch and £100 to Mike Springall, Chairman of Chard Branch of the Royal British Legion. Interestingly, Mike is a Mason of long standing, but has moved to Chard and has applied for Joining Membership.
The atmosphere in the lodge was heart warming, with a lively after dinner meal and much banter.
