Another new member for Athelstan
Friday the 14th of November saw Athelstan Lodge 9033 perform a 1st degree, the first one for WM Nick Sheldon.
This meeting was a move from our usual first Friday of the month due to the Weston Super Mare Carnival. Which saw Chris Carter take his first step into Freemasonry in, and he was warmly welcomed and accepted by the Brethren.
Ashley Brown performed double duty on the night doing both the NEC and the Charge, both delivered in dependable WBro Brown fashion.
John Southwood delivered an explanation of the first degree tracing board which was one to behold, a very very commendable piece of Masonic Tradition, Chris was clearly taken aback by the length of the explanation.
The Festive Board after was enjoyed by all and the song to the Initiate was sung by the brethren in attendance with gusto.
A great night was had by all.
