Somersetshire Lodge Ladies Weekend
A great many members of the Somersetshire Lodge together with friends and partners, travelled to the Bournemouth Carlton Hotel for the first Ladies weekend in several years! Friday was a laid back affair with a buffet supper and some alcoholic beverages taken!
Saturday saw the presentation on Hawks with an indoor display , which was very enjoyable (just remember to close the door).
Then the main event the gala dinner, with a DJ, Live band a sumptuous food! The current WM Evan Hand’s wife, Laura gave a superb speech including the comments on observing Evan trying to tie a Bow Tie, which were very funny!
Then as is the Tradition at Somersetshire Lodge the members and Partners took part in the “Cross Toasting”, which always raises a laugh – Ian “Bubs” Burbage won this years with a great request about Tattoos!
Somersetshire Lodge meet 4 times a year at Mark Masons Hall in London, in what is a very special Lodge and in some respects very unique! If you are interested in joining please contact the secretary for an ORF
