Ben Batley Past DPrGM appointed as a Trustee of Educational Foundation
Ben has recently been appointed as a Trustee of an educational foundation to disburse small grants to assist boys and young men. This was recently advertised at a Taunton lodge resulting in an application from a local young musician. The skills section of the DoE Award can be supported in this way and grant availability will be launched this month with DoE leaders across Somerset.

Grants are available for boys and young men (aged 9-25) living in or from the North Riding of Yorkshire (including both North or East Yorkshire), or Somerset, who have an educational need which can be achieved through targetedhelp (grantees).
Schools, Parents, Guardians, social workers and other support workers, and young people over 16 may apply.
The Foundation aim to support all grantees and like to hear back from them overtime, in addition to encouraging applications from previous grantees.
