Connaught Lodge MacMillan Coffee Morning

This year the MacMillan Coffee Morning was held on Saturday 27th September, so as to avoid competing with similar events earlier in the week, something that seems to paid off as there was a particularly good response. With many generous donations of cakes and other goodies, all those that attended had plenty to choose from, and quite a few took a ‘doggy bag’ home.

In addition to enjoying the food and beverages many took the opportunity to have a guided tour around the Masonic Centre, to find out what we do as Freemasons. Worshipful Brother Peter Kazemka gave the tours leaving everyone suitably impressed 🙂

This was a joint effort with Worshipful Brother Chris James and the Worshipful Master, Chris Brooke serving the cakes and drinks, ably supported in the kitchen by the Chris’ wife, Anne and Brother Neil Sunderland. Worshipful Brothers Jerry Hann and Brian Parry kept guests topped up and happy.

This was the second time that Connaught Lodge has hosted a MacMillan Coffee Morning, and although not charging for refreshments, the lodge was very pleased to collect £210 which will be topped up from Lodge charity funds.
