Nick Butler Flies in from Saudi Arabia to be Exalted

It was a busy night again at the Vale Of Jehoshaphat’s first meeting of the new season, a 17 item agenda was going to take time to get through but they did!

After welcoming the Deputy Grand Superintendent Neil Hurcum and members of the Provincial Chapter team, who were there to carry out the MCV, what happens next presentation. The main event of the evening took place, to Exalt Nick Butler as a Royal Arch Mason.

Nick is a member of RPL 291 and has been in Serbia for the past few years, with his Serbian wife looking after her family, however he recently took a job working in Saudi Arabia. Nick being committed to being exalted, spent over £2,000 on his flights to get back to the UK for the meeting, which he said he thoroughly enjoyed and was worth it! He flies back to Saudi on Monday!

Neil being made to sing for his supper then presented two Grand Chapter certificates to Lyndon Baker and John Scott.

Neil then delivered the MCV what happens next, saying how well VoJ had done with 5 new prospects in the pipeline and another joining member to be proposed, however they should not rest on their laurels, do more planning and look for even more Community Engagement.

The evening was rounded off with a superb meal and great company, always fun at Burnham on Sea!
