A Call For Help – Emergency Services Respond

Local Minehead Freemason Mark Pearce spotted a recent social media post from a local Fire Officer who was asking for help from his local community. His son Aaron, a sixteen year old was in need of a wheelchair for the start of college in September due to ongoing issues with his mobility due to an issue with both of his knees. Aaron is receiving treatment at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. Mark raised this with Andy Newland of Taunton’s Emergency Services Lodge and so contact was established and within a couple of days the Brethren of 9391 had a new self propelled wheelchair delivered to Watchet for Aaron to use while he goes to college and is in receipt of urgent treatment including physiotherapy. As you can see from the social media post his father made (Facebook link below), Aaron was grateful for the gesture made by the Emergency Services Lodge. When Aaron no longer needs the wheelchair it will be bought back for future deployment from Taunton Masonic Hall.
