Portcullis Lodge Hog Roast – July 2025

On a warm sunny Saturday afternoon on 26th July, Portcullis Lodge hosted a charity Hog Roast & BBQ in Langport. The event was hosted by the worshipful master, Mike Norton, and was held in the director of ceremonies (Denis Paull) garden. It was very well supported with over 50 Lodge members and their friends and families in attendance, along with a goodly number of Brethren etc. from other lodges.

The afternoon was very successful indeed, raising £1500 (mainly thanks to a bumper raffle) for the Worshipful Masters chosen charities, one of which will be the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

So enjoyable was the event that it went on well into the night, with a few sore heads in the morning 🤒.

The next Charity event will be held at the Langport Arms on 18th October, which will be a hot buffet and a live performer singing Country and Western and Pop hits, tickets just £25.
