The Annual Skittles Match : Southey vs Tennyson lodge

Around 40 people had a simply superb time at the annual grudge, erm, sorry, skittles, match last Friday, Friday July 25th.

Fourteen of both Southey and Tennyson’s finest (or at least, most enthusiastic) Skittles players entered the alley, ready for a clash of epic proportions (or at least, a decent night) and although Tennyson had both the highest score of 14 (woohoo), and the lowest of zero (whimper), Southey lodge had the better team on the night, and beat Tennyson 219 (ish) to 193 (ish).

Congratulations Southey from all the Brethren from Tennyson 👏👏👏

The scores ended up being approximate (ie: ish), as there was a mix up at the board, but with a 26 point lead at the end of the game there was little point in a recount, and so Tennyson congratulated Southey and we called the scores “ish”.

The buffet was fabulous, the surroundings excellent, and the company the best. Can’t wait for next year 😃😃😃
