MP for North Somerset visits Nailsea Hall

North Somerset MP, Sadik Al-Hassan paid a private visit to the Nailsea Masonic Centre on Saturday to find out about the work done in the Community by the various Lodges.

Mike Greedy DPGM, Martin Slocombe PAPGM and 3 brethren from Estune Lodge were delighted when his first question to them was ‘What can I do to help you?’ as he recognises that a changing society needs organisations such as ours to help combat loneliness and support mental health.

He was given a tour around the Centre including the museum and Temple where we explained our roots in the Guild System and development to a friendly society. He noted we must be an early Trade Union and saw the VSL’s of several religions now behind the Masters Pedestal.

He was extremely supportive and will publicise the Centre’s Open Day on June 28th as well as requesting a list of the organisations we’ve supported over the last few years.
