Quantock Lodge Round Off Their Busy Season

The Quantock Lodge in Watchet enjoyed a rather special evening on Wednesday 4th June. Not only did the Brethren have the pleasure of Initiating a new Entered Apprentice in the person of Brother Joe Barratt (above left), but there were also two presentations made, both by Worshipful Brother Ray Baines, a good friend of the Lodge.

The first presentation was that of a Grand Lodge Certificate to Chris Nevada (above right). The Brethren had purposely not informed Chris of the arrival of his Certificate, so it came as a nice surprise to him, further pleasure coming with Ray’s excellent presentation. Ray then presented PGM Working Tools Challenge pins to Ian Gabb and Daniel Searle (above middle). These are awarded to Master Masons who have presented all three sets of working tools in the past year, and Ray informed the Lodge that these were the first to be presented in the Province of Somerset.

All in all, a very pleasant evening was had, which was particularly pleasing for the Worshipful Master Alan Sandwell, in his last working meeting before the Installation meeting in October, with Brother John Sully being elected as Master for the ensuing year, and the Brethren wish them both well for October.
