Olympian Pass Brother Dan Dowling
On Friday 13th, which can be unlucky for some, Olympian Lodge held their last meeting before the Summer break to Pass Brother Dan Dowling. There was nothing but good luck on the evening and the WM and his team conducted a fine ceremony, and special thanks to W Bro Keith Ham for stepping in as the Senior Deacon for the night.
A great festive board followed with a wonderful meal from Sam and her team and due to the heat and what with Olympian Lodge being full of fine tuned athletes, suitable hydration accompanied the meal.
During the festive board the WM, W Bro Liam Broad took wine with his father, W Bro Andy Broad and Bro Adrian Logan who 43 years ago were preparing to enter Port Stanley to liberate the Falklands Islands as members of 3 PARA
The WM then presented the Olympian Golf trophy to Olympian’s very own, W Bro Geoff Seaman who had been victorious at the annual Olympan Golf tournament, and we were assured it wasn’t a fix
The members of Olympian then departed into the well needed summer break and are looking forward to our next meeting in September which will be another Second Degree ceremony.
