Gordano Lodge Initiate Bro Carl
On the 19th May, Gordano lodge held an emergency initiation meeting for now, Brother, Carl Tarsey.

The Worshipful Master, David Parslow, set a high bar, which was met by all of the officers in his team. Worshipful Brother Pete Murray of Tennyson lodge No 4497, presented the ritual on the secrets of the first degree, and Worshipful brother Steve Wilson gave a first class presentation of the charge after initiation, in which, and in normal Gordano style, he shook hands and welcomed brother Carl into Freemasonry. At the end of the ceremony David Parslow was, as always, the second to welcome brother Carl into Freemasonry and into Gordano lodge.
A huge thank you goes out to several visitors who stepped in whilst Gordano officers could not attend, and in particular Duncan Williams, from the Forrest Of Mendip Lodge No 8019, who stood in as Senior Warden as Gordano’s Senior Warden was unavoidably absent.
Several officers were held up on the M5, but in true masonic fashion, past masters and visitors helped start the ceremony and held office until the missing Brethren arrived.
After the ceremony the North West representative of The Adair Club, brother Rob Collins, presented Brother Carl with his light blues pin badge and again welcomed him into Freemasonry and the light blues club of Somerset.
The festive board was cheerful as ever, with the usual good food, good company and good conversation, and was made all the more enjoyable with Worshipful brother Stuart Pettys rendition of the chain.

A truly wonderful night was had by all; nobody wanted to leave.
The next meeting of the lodge is in September, and is again an emergency meeting for initiation. Please do get in touch with the lodge secretary if you would like to attend (secretary gordano.lodge@gmail.com)
