Martin is made the new Mayor of Taunton

To add to Barrie Palmers already busy month, he recently attended the Mayor making ceremony at Taunton Minster.  The new Mayor of Taunton Town Council is no other than W.Bro Martin Straus, the IPM of the Somerset Tablers Lodge who meet at Ilminster.

Martin wants to increase the awareness of freemasonry to the people of Taunton and indeed wherever he can. In his acceptance speak he stated that he had be honoured last year to be the Worshipful Master of his Masonic lodge.

He’s in good Company because the very first Mayor of Taunton in 1877 was Myers Jacobs, a member of Uninimity and Sincerity No. 261.

Barrie said was pleased to be able to attend his Mayor making ceremony, representing the PGM.
