Gordano Lodge supports the Julian Trust

The Julian Trust are a charity who support homeless in their facilities in St Pauls, Bristol. They offer 12 beds to some of those in need, and hot meals and takeaways for up to 70 guests each evening. In recent times, there has been an increase need for these services.

Gordano Lodge held a Charity Sunday lunch at the end of March and raised £150 for the Julian Trust, the Worshipful Master’s, W.Bro David Parslow, chosen charity of the year. It was a well attended event with only a couple of seats to spare, and a large number of lodge widows in attendance. The meal, organized by W.Bro Philip du Kamp was chaired by the Worshipful Master.

Later in the week, W.Bro Steve Wilson visited their facilities in St Pauls and presented the cheque of £150 to Molly Cox, an administration volunteer at the Trust. She thanked the lodge for the donation, and said it would help them to continue the support which was so appreciated by their guests. Gordano Lodge are planning to make a more substantial donation towards this much needed service in the very near future.
