Third time lucky at Eldon Chapter No. 1755
The Companions of Eldon Chapter consider themselves very lucky, because at their March meeting Ex Comp Martin Slocombe take the Chair of 1st Principal of the Chapter for the third time in 18 years. Martin was first Installed into the Chair of Zerubbabel of Eldon in March 2006, then inducted in March 2012, and again at our March meeting in 2025. This gives the members of Eldon Chapter great comfort and expectation that the Chapter is in very experienced and capable hands, supported by his two Principals, Ex Com Kieth Baker who was installed as 2nd Principal and Ex Comp Andy Broad installed as 3rd Principal. Both very experienced Masons and keen Chapter members.
The Chapter was honoured by the presence of Ex Comp Ray Beckingham who was representing the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent for the March Installation meeting. He was accompanied by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremony, Ex Comp Mark Golding.
Ex Comp Ray Beckingham presented Comp Andrew Steel his Grand Chapter Certificate, giving his usual, very informative explanation of its some of its characteristics and Symbolisms.
Once the Ceremony had concluded the Companions retired to the dining room to enjoy good food, good company, and good humour, rounding off an excellent evening.
Eldon Chapters next meeting is on the 1st May 2025, when the Companions will be Exalting a candidate Using the Savage Ritual. All are welcome are welcome to join the evening.
