Southey Lodge 6650 – Initiation of Bro Prosper Umeri
On Monday 17th March 2025, Southey Lodge 6650 had the great honour of initiating Bro Prosper Umeri into the fold.
The ceremony was meticulously overseen by WM Nick Hill who received and welcomed W Bro A R Guthrie APGM and members of the provincial team, who delivered the “Membership Challenge – what next” presentation to the Lodge before settling down to observe the initiation proceedings.
Thank you to the WM and members of the Showmen’s Guild Lodge 9089 on the occasion of their fraternal visit came to witness proceedings and make merry at the festive board, most welcome.
Bro Prosper conducted himself with great intestinal fortitude and grittiness whilst being led around the temple, first in darkness and then in light aided by the well-versed WM and the officers of the lodge.
The festive board was a delight and thank you to all brethren and visitors who supported us well into the night – well past my bedtime anyway! But I was pleased and delighted to be able to assist in ensuring Bro Prosper had a very special night, which I am sure you all agree was a great success.
