In The Spirit of Christmas
Do you have any old toys, or even new, that you would like to donate to those less fortunate?
Brother Adam, of St Alphege Lodge in Bath, has been collecting toys for the past six years and feels committed to do so every year. He does this in memory of his baby brother who was only two months old when he died.

After he collects all the toys, he and his helpers will then pack them in Christmas bags and distribute them on Christmas Eve, to the RUH in Bath and the Children’s Hospital in Bristol.
These toys will then be given to the children by the nurses, and some will be kept for the playrooms within the children’s wards.
Adam explains, “the whole idea behind it is, that children who are unfortunate to spend Christmas in hospital will receive an unexpected present, which will hopefully bring a smile on their face”.
Rather poignantly, he adds, “the reason for collecting second-hand toys in relatively good condition, is to give an example to children and their parents who donate them, the act of sharing”.
Adam would really appreciate any donations, however small: a toy, a doll, a cuddly animal, a puzzle or a book.
