Age No Barrier at Lodge of Fidelity and Sincerity
Peter Stradling was recently installed as Master of The Lodge of Fidelity and Sincerity in Wellington at the tender age of 87. Peter has been a Mason for many years and recently agreed to help the Lodge out by filling this high position. Fidelity and Sincerity prides itself on looking after the members and officers of the Lodge by assisting them where necessary with ritual and the infamous “Wellington Workings”.
The Installation was a family affair with Peter’s Son in Law Richard Dunn carrying out the Inner Workings to a very high standard. The Lodge was graced by the presence of The Deputy Provincial Grand Master for Somerset Ben Batley. A lively and sumptuous meal followed the meeting and a good time was had by all.
The Lodge Members are a diverse bunch of ages and nationalities with the current Junior Deacon also being in his 80s. The Lodge is in a strong position going forward with 5 new candidates joining in the next few months.
