Portcullis Lodge hold an open day to share the recent charitable donations.
Portcullis Lodge who meet in the World Famous Hanging Chapel in Langport, where the current Master Denis Paull held an open morning, with over 50 people attending, to present cheques to some of the charities that he and the Lodge have supported over the last year or so.
Following on from a very successful “Hog Roast” Charity Event, supported by members friends and family, Denis was delighted to be able to present cheques to the following charities: St Margarets Hospice £500, Landmark Langport £500 (a request for more Trustees was requested by Val Saunders a member of Landmark Langport), Huish cum Langport Parochial Church Council £250 and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance £500 (already donated beforehand)
The Lodge has also supported the local Foodbank over the years and several members were also their to give their support.
Denis and members of Portcullis gave a presentation about Freemasonry and the history of the Hanging Chapel to the guests, before adjourning to the Pound Inn for Lunch courtesy of the Master, Denis.
