Another Bright Spark Joins Lodge Of St George

(L-R) Vern Whereat, Jason Blake, Steve Thraxton & Neal Hansley

The evening of 9th January marked a very special occasion for the Worshipful Master Steve Thraxton and his excellent team in Taunton when their latest candidate, electrician Mr Jason Blake, was initiated into Lodge of St George 3158.

A very special evening indeed, as Jason is Steve’s best friend, so an excellent ceremony was enjoyed by all with 48 members and visitors in attendance. Those present were treated to a superb rendition of the Junior Warden’s charge by Mark Rewbury from Lodge of Prudence and Industry 1953 in Chard, who is also a personal friend of Brother Jason.

The evening was also shared with the Grand Superintendent of Works for Somerset Chris Cluff, who did some exceptional floor work for his Lodge. Chris also sang the song to The Initiate at the Festive Board without any musical accompaniment, since the hall piano was out of action (apparently!).

A happy occasion was had by all and Brother Jason expressed his happiness at the Festive Board at being admitted into such a lovely and fun-filled Lodge, where he looks forward to sharing many enjoyable evenings with all in the future.

Welcome to YOUR Lodge Brother Jason and here’s to a fantastic Masonic future.
