W. Bro. Peter Ball Celebrates 50 Years In The Craft.
At the January 2022 meeting of Vivary Lodge No 8654, meeting in Taunton, the Lodge celebrated W. Bro. Peter Ball’s 50th year in Masonry with the P.G.M. for Somerset, R.W. Bro. David J. Medlock. DL in attendance. W Bro Peter was initiated into Masonry on 4th January 1972 and joined Vivary Lodge in 1976, a year after it was warranted, having relocated to Taunton with his work as a bank manager for Nat West. Peter was appointed Provincial Grand Chaplain in 2006.
W. Bro. Peter (in his 21st year as Vivary Chaplain) assisted W Bro William Allen, with other Vivary Past Masters to perform an excellent 3rd degree ceremony. The Festive Board included a superb cake baked by W. Bro. Alan Clayton’s daughter and the presentation of an engraved firing glass. Peter reflected on his many enjoyable years in Masonry and thanked everyone for their kindness in celebrating his special occasion.
The Brethren of Vivary Lodge congratulate Peter on this achievement, thank him for his dedication and support throughout those fifty years and wish him many more happy years in the Lodge.
