Past Masters night at St Kew

Tuesday 6th October was a particularly memorable evening at St Kew Lodge, as the Lodge held its annual past masters meeting, with the added pleasure of welcoming Shane Davis into the Lodge for an Initiation ceremony.

The ceremony was conducted brilliantly by the Past Masters of the Lodge, who once again demonstrated the experience, skill and tradition that make these evenings such a special part of the Masonic calendar.

Paul McAdams, who dusted off his ritual book for the evening and temporarily hung up his Treasurer’s collar to return to the chair of king Solomon for the meeting conducted an excellent initiation ceremony along side the other past masters of the lodge who took office and performed ritual.

The evening also provided an opportunity to recognise the achievements and contributions of four brethren, who were each presented with their festival jewels. These jewels are a fitting acknowledgement of their support and commitment to the 2031 Festival, and the Lodge extends its congratulations and thanks to each of them.

Following the meeting, Adair club Secretary Chris Cooke and Adair Central Rep Jay York had the Honour of presenting Shane with his Adair Badge. Chris and Jay then formally introduced Shane to the Adair Club, welcoming him and explaining the important role the Club plays in supporting fellowship and Masonic activity within the province.

The Lodge would like to congratulate Shane Davis on his Initiation and wish him every success and enjoyment as he begins his Masonic journey. Thanks must also go to all of the Past Masters and brethren who contributed to such a memorable evening.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 3rd November, which will be another initiation. Harry Blinston will be stepping into the chair of king Solomon and initiating his son James into the lodge, please email the secretary David Rogers on st.kew1222sec@outlook.com to come along
