Connaught Lodge MacMillan Coffee Morning

An absolutely superb morning at Connaught Lodge on Saturday 19 September. Six tables and thirty-six chairs were laid out and by mid-morning all were full until we closed at 1pm. The adverts in the local paper had obviously worked as there were many first-time visitors.

We had a huge selection of cakes and other goodies, most of which had been donated. The camera club exhibition drew a lot of attention, and Pete’s temple tours also proved to be very popular. Overall we made £295 that we will top-up from our Charity Account as in previous years, and we also sold raffle tickets for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

Thanks to all the brethren and Anne Brooke (especially the kitchen squad who kept the drinks flowing), we had such a successful event. The best ever!! The images aptly illustrate how busy we were; and Matt’s young daughter Deliah-Rose aspiring to be WM.
