Joint venture to help Taunton’s homeless

A joint venture between Bridgwater’s Tynte Lodge and Wedmore’s St Cecilia Lodge raised over £720 for the benefit of Open Door, a Taunton based charity which helps the local homeless community. They provide a warm welcome with a cuppa. They also have showers, a clothing store and laundry facilities. They also serve breakfast and lunch. The joint donation has facilitated a medical room with an examination couch, furniture, privacy blinds and a complete redecoration. This enables the clients to receive care from a medical professional in privacy and dignity.
