Athelstan pay a visit to Watchet
Members of Athelstan Lodge recently attended their regular monthly visit to Quantock Lodge in Watchet, Somerset, kindly arranged by our Adair member, Craig Hamilton.
The brethren were delighted to witness John Sully, Worshipful Master of Quantock Lodge, preside over a Passing Ceremony to the Second Degree, followed by the election of the Lodge’s next Worshipful Master. John conducted the proceedings with great dignity and confidence, ably supported by his officers and fellow brethren throughout the evening.
Particularly noteworthy was an excellent presentation of the Second Degree Tracing Board, which was delivered with both knowledge and enthusiasm, adding greatly to the enjoyment of the ceremony.
Greetings were received, and it was pleasing to see our own Bro. John Southwood, Junior Warden, give greetings on behalf of the Worshipful Master of Athelstan Lodge for the first time. He represented the Lodge with confidence and distinction.
The ceremony itself was a pleasure to witness, taking place in a welcoming and beautifully appointed Lodge room that reflected the warmth and spirit of Quantock Lodge.

Following the meeting, the brethren enjoyed a most enjoyable festive board, where an excellent meal was served in the company of good friends. As always, the hospitality extended to us by Quantock Lodge was greatly appreciated.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, and we look forward to returning to Quantock Lodge in the near future to continue the strong bonds of friendship and fraternity between our Lodges.
