Burnham Freemasons donate a further £1,000 to local charity
Local Freemasons have given a welcome boost to Burnham-On-Sea mental health charity In Charley’s Memory (ICM) with a generous £1,000 donation towards the refurbishment of its new High Street premises.
The charity — which provides vital mental health support to more than 200 young people across Somerset each week — recently moved into the former GW Hurley newsagents building, which closed last November
Work is currently underway to fit out and refurbish the space so the team can expand its services in the Burnham-On-Sea area.

Freemasons Malcolm Price, Julian Frost and John Chinn visited the charity to present CEO Dawn Carey with £1,000 to help with the ongoing costs.
Half of the donation — £500 — was given by Burnham Freemasons, with worshipful master Malcolm Price selecting ICM as his personal charity of the year.
The remaining £500 was presented by Julian Frost, deputy provincial grand master, on behalf of the Province of Somerset and Dorset in the Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord.
Dawn thanked the Freemasons for their continued support and said she looks forward to completing the refurbishment later this Spring, enabling the charity to welcome more young people into the new space.
