Taunton Deane Lodge – Installation Report

At their March meeting, Taunton Deane Lodge who meet at the historic Masonic Centre in Taunton installed Brother Mike McLean into the chair of King Solomon. Over 40 members and guests attended the ceremony superbly conducted by the IM Nick Judd. The Lodge was honoured with the presence of Assistant Provincial Grand Master Russ Woodland, who represented the PGM on the evening. All present witnessed a superb ceremony with both the Wardens and Senior Deacon presenting the Working Tools perfectly. The three addresses to the Master, Wardens and Brethren were delivered impeccably and the new Worshipful Master installed and Invested his Officers in a most wonderful manner.

The hall caterer Karen and staff again provided a superb meal at the Festive Board with all present in good voice for both the Guests’ song and of course the song to the new Worshipful Master. Taunton Deane Lodge again this year are in a very strong position with every office being filled and stewards waiting to progress further. The monthly Lodge Of Instruction (aka boys’ night) is always well supported with the newer brethren being helped by the more experienced members. A curry is always is enjoyed after every LOI night which is a chance to relax and chat.
