Serata Italiana Gordano – Che Bello!
Gordano Lodge hosted an Italian-themed festive board on the evening that Bro Paul Locke was raised to the Third Degree.
The event was well attended and highly successful, featuring a good ceremony followed by a superb Italian banquet.
The Clevedon dining room was transformed into a vibrant celebration of Italian culture, decorated with bunting, flags, themed napkins, custom-printed menus, and many other colourful touches. The meal—naturally Italian, with dishes including minestrone, lasagne, and panna cotta—was accompanied by Italian music and scenic videos displayed on the big screen. A huge thank-you goes to Zena and Neil in the kitchen for producing such an impressive banquet, as evidenced by the spotless plates!
The themed evening forms part of Worshipful Master W. Bro Rob Collins’ year-long initiative: A Culinary Journey into Freemasonry Universal. October saw an Indian-themed night; still to come are a Chinese evening and a full Burns Night.
The candidate for the evening was Bro Paul Locke, who was raised to the Third Degree. Although several key officers were absent due to illness, visitors stepped in at short notice and helped deliver an excellent ceremony. We look forward to channelling Bro Paul’s enthusiasm—he already serves as Assistant Secretary and has organised social events for the lodge, including a Quiz Night. A Mason to watch!
