Saltford Lodge welcomes the Travelling Trowel
Braving the pouring rain, when a Travelling Ark might have been more appropriate, five intrepid brethren from St Alphege splashed their way to Keynsham on a dark and stormy night, to deliver the Travelling Trowel to Saltford Lodge, having received it at their last meeting from Royal Sussex.
The presentation was shared between three with an off-script embellishment and theatrical twirl added by their DC John.
St Alphege’s WM Adam then invited Saltford Lodge’s Acting WM Elliot to take as many of their brethren as possible and present the trowel to the Royal Somerset Lodge in Frome on the 8th January, where he was sure amity would prevail, and they will all enjoy a special evening.
After the formal proceedings the brethren joined in a traditional Christmas Festive Board with wives, partners and friends.
