It’s never too late!!
The annual Installation meeting of the Sir Isaac Newton Lodge on Thursday 20th October was a milestone for the retiring Master, W.Bro. John Kerr. John was 80 when initiated in 2015 and celebrated his 90th birthday this year as Master of the Lodge. However unlikely it seems though, he handed the Chair over to a Past Master 2 years older than himself!
The photo shows the incoming Master, W.Bro. Peter Tyler, in the centre. On his left are W.Bro. John Kerr, the outgoing Master, and W.Bro. Bill Hillis, who conducted the Installation ceremony. On his right are W.Bro. Steve Poland, the Provincial presiding officer together with his DC W.Bro. Nathan Henderson.
The meeting also included an episode of the generation game as W.Bro. Ron Blackhurst, a member of the Lodge, was joined by his son W.Bro. James Blackhurst, who is an APGM of Buckinghamshire, and his grandson Bro. Jake Blackhurst. In the photo they are joined by W.Bro. David Sage who steered the ceremonials of the meeting in the absence of the DC’s team.
