Queen’s College Lodge Raise Darren and an MCV

Another Membership Challenge for the brethren of Queen’s College Taunton. It only
feels like yesterday that the PGM gave the first Membership Challenge in October 24
and how privileged we are to receive the APGM, Barrie Palmer, on this memorable occasion of raising Darren Rumsey to the sublime degree of aMaster Mason.

Darren was provided with relevant information to be able to carry on the Raising. which was then proceeded with, with the WM topping and tailing whilst Barrie conducted an exemplary “fifteen fellowcraft” and “recitation”, thanks Barrie. However, the star of the show (both an organised part of the ceremony but also an emergency stand in was our very own Geoff Perrin, he was word perfect, conducting the (Queen’s) apron presentation, the Traditional History and the Working Tools. Thanks ever so much Geoff, the next beer is definitely on us.

Barrie then rose to give his update for the Membership Challenge, which was very interesting, some green shoots, but plenty of work still to do.

As always, the festive board was a huge smorgasbord of exquisite (and extensive) food prepared by Karen and her team. We can never thank them enough, but do formally say cheers each meeting.

39 attended and contributed the princely sum of over £550, thank you all, Somerset
Sight will be pleased.
