Jeremy on song at St Cecilia

Jeremy Hellier installed his successor Chris Marchmont in exemplary fashion at St. Cecilia Lodge, on Monday 26 October 2026. He was ably accompanied by the Choir under the direction of David Smith. Having installed his Officers, Chris presented, what has been designated the ‘Mo Yarham Immediate Past Master’s’ Jewel. Steve Jones explained to the Lodge that following the passing of Mo Yarham to the Grand Lodge above, his daughter Laura offered Mo’s regalia to the Lodge. We gratefully accepted and donated to Mo’s favourite charity the ‘Devon Wildlife Trust’. The Jewel has been engraved with Mo’s 3 years as Master and will be present to the new IPM each year.

The Lodge was graced with the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand, Master Barrie Palmer who was pleased to present a Fifty-year certificate to Steve Jones, Steve was initiated into Coleridge Lodge by his father Ken as a Lewis aged 21years. The PGM R.W. Bro Colonel Harry Owen Hughes gave the ‘Charge after Initiation’.

The Lodge retired to the festive board where St. Cecilia members entertained their guest with their usual musical repertoire.
