A New Master at the Helm

A packed house at Bath Masonic Hall recently when Tony Kitchen was installed as the new Worshipful Master of Elizabethan Lodge.

They were delighted to welcome Barry McCormack, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master, representing Ray Guthrie, Provincial Grand Master for Somerset.

Tony also had a strong contingent of his fellows from the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association to support him on the night.

Outgoing Master Ethan Price rounded off his year by conducting the installation, of which Barry wrote to the lodge afterwards with some warm and much-appreciated praise; commenting on the way the ceremony was conducted, and for the confidence with which Tony took the Chair.

At a lively Festive Board, Matt Pedley sang the Master’s Song in true bardic fashion, and the night ended with a special gift as Trevor Boswell, a fellow Widows Sons biker (showing no signs of slowing down in his eighties) presented Tony with a hand-fashioned wooden bowl bearing the square and compasses Masonic insignia.

The Lodge members are grateful to everyone who came along to support them and wish Tony a fantastic year in the Chair.
