A Very Enjoyable Installation at Richard Huish Lodge

On Saturday 26th September, the brethren of the Richard Huish Lodge, Taunton, and their guests, enjoyed a particularly special evening. Firstly, by kind invitation of the outgoing Master, Russell Biss, Peter Prior-Sankey had the privilege of installing his friend, Ian Cassling, into the Chair of King Solomon. Peter did so in an exemplary fashion, and Ian assumed the mantle of Master in the style to be expected of an experienced Past Master.

The lodge had the honour and pleasure of the company of the Provincial Grand Master Ray Guthrie, who was accompanied by Andrew (Mac) Mackay as his Director of Ceremonies. Due to Ray and Mac’s usual friendly and relaxed manner, the brethren were able to give the ritual their best shot, which they duly did. After the Installation ceremony, Ray kindly presented Working Tool Challenge pins to Bros Bryan Raymondi, Lee Smith and George Searle. It is a pleasure to see our younger brethren performing so well within the Lodge. Thoroughly singing for his supper, Ray also went on to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to Richard Lewis, in a manner which Richard clearly appreciated.

Good food, good fun and good friendship were then experienced by all present at the Festive Board.
A great evening all round, and an indication of a thoroughly enjoyable year to come!
