Athelstan visit Bristol for a special Installation.
On Friday the 25th of September several member of Althelstan Lodge travelled across county lines up to Bristol to see the Installation of the new Worship Master for the Temple Lodge, Darren Burke. A fantastic ceremony carried out by the members of Temple and kudos has to go to both the IPM Mike Powell and the Installing Master Ian Clark for their outstanding work.
The night was honoured with the presence of the new APGM Brin Brassel on his first official outing since taking office, and also Past PGM Michael John Flynn. The night was also a historic night which saw the Temple Lodge ballot for amalgamation with the Redcliffe Lodge.

The Redcliffe Lodge hasn’t been doing so great as of late and and amalgamation between Mother and Daughter Lodges seems a viable solution. Redcliffe had their own ballot and both ballots proved in favour. This is an historic event as it’s the first time Bristol lodges have amagamated and this can only be a good thing.
The official amalgamation will happen early in the new year forming the Temple and Redcliffe Lodge.
A Brilliant festive board (after meeting in Bristol ) followed where the food was outstanding and the atmosphere great. A truly Masonic night in every sense.

The members of Athlestan had a great night and further cemented a fraternal visit that has been going on for thirty three years.
