A meal fit for a King at the Supper of King David Conclave
The order of the Secret Monitor is one of those degrees that does not get as much mention as some of the other Orders, however it is a very friendly Order meeting in several Halls throughout Somerset.
The Supper of King David is a dining Conclave consecrated only last year, that meet at the Masonic Hall in Nailsea, meeting only twice a year each meal office is filled for a 2 year period.
The current Supreme ruler is Derrick Griffin (also Provincial Deputy SR) with Julian Frost as IPSR (Provincial SR of the Order)

At the meeting Derrick was proclaimed for his second year with all officers taking up their roles and two new members were proposed.
The meal that followed was simply superb and the wine that went with it sublime! The meal consisted of Salmon & Dill Tartlet, Seared Scallops, Fillet of Beef, Chocolate Pave with Cheese & Biscuits to follow. Each course was accompanied by a fine wine (chosen by John McHardy a serious wine buff), and of course a vintage port to go with the Cheese.

As it is not intentional for the Conclave to Initiate members, you would need to join an OSM Conclave near you, before applying to join this Conclave – if you are interested in becoming a Secret Monitor or wish to know more please contact the provincial Secretary John McHardy at rjmchardy@lineone.net
There is also a Provincial Lunch arranged at Batch Country House on the 29th November 2026 – all welcome non OSM members and friends and family are also invited, again for more information please contact John McHardy.
