Forest of Mendip Lodge. A Very Proud Lodge.
On Friday 22nd May the Forest of Mendip Lodge held a very succesful third degree ceremony with Bro Marco Pernicone as our candidate, who answered his questions without fault. We had a goodly number of visitors including W.Bro Graham Puddy A.P.G.M. who was accompanied by our own W.Bro Russel Woodland A.P.G.M.
The ceremony was a Past Masters ceremony with W.Bro Damien Pick as W.M.
After the ceremony it was agreed by the Brethren to make a donation of £2000 to a community project that was being started at the Strawberry Line Bike Shop at Yatton railway station, besides running the Cafe with teenagers with learning difficulties they also run a bike shop with teenagers who have learning dfifficulties, which repairs bikes and sells bikes. They are now starting a project for any group to hire a bikes and painting equipment so that they can journey down the Strawberry Line in groups and stop and paint any points of interest.As a relaxtion project.
The Brethren also agreed to present another cheque for £2000 to “Its in the Bag”. A Testicular Cancer project being run at The Oncology unit at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
During the risings W.Bro. Graham Puddy presented Brethren with their festival Jewels.
