A Sesquicentennial Celebration, a Triple Exaltation, and a 50 Year Certificate at Wedmore

It was all hands to the pump as the current Provincial Chapter team made a visit to Avalon Chapter in Wedmore. Thomas Nutt handed over the Sceptre to the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent (MEGS) Ray Guthrie, who ably led the provincial team in performing a triple exaltation for Adam, Michael, and Thomas.

There then followed a 50 year certificate presentation to EComp Brian, where the MEGS gave a potted history of Brian’s commitment to the Royal Arch for over 50 years. There was also the presentation of two Grand Chapter certificates by the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, Mark Golding.

The Companions then retired to the dining room for a sumptuous meal and a celebration of the Chapter being 150 years old. With nearly 70 Companions present this was a real celebration of the Royal Arch. Those present were also given gifts by the Chapter of firing glasses and pens. Here’s to the next 50 years!
