Provincial Fraternal Visit to Abbey Chapter
Abbey Chapter in Keynsham hosted members of the new Provincial Team on their first outing after the Provincial AGM. In a busy evening, the 1st Principal of the Chapter (and new Provincial DC) welcomed the Provincial 3rd Grand Principal and eight active officers to the Chapter where they then witnessed the exaltation of David Bowen. Abbey Chapter also hosted a good number of visitors from St Keyna Chapter, King Alfred Chapter and St Lukes Chapter, but the visitors did not just sit and watch; because of Easter vacations, Comp. Bob Edwards from St Keyna Chapter stood in as Principal Sojourner and Jeremy Thomas from King Alfred Chapter leapt at the chance to assist as Janitor. With their help the Chapter delivered an excellent ceremony, that the candidate thoroughly enjoyed.

But the evening still had more as the Principals for the next year were elected – Steve Coles as 1st Principal, Barry McCormack as 2nd Principal and Kevin O’Neil as 3rd Principal – and then Comp. Simon Hall was presented with his Supreme Grand Chapter Certificate by Andy Wade.
After the business was completed, the 30 or so Royal Arch Masons present retired to the dining room for an excellent meal with much laughter, and excellent Companionship.

The pictures show Comp Simon Hall receiving his SGC Certificate from E. Comp Andy Wade Pr3GPrin and the Three Principals of the Chapter, Angus Ross, Steve Coles and Barry McCormack, lined up with Andy Wade, Pr3GPrin and the Exaltee, Comp Dave Bowen escorted by the Chapter DC Mark Saunders and PrAGDC Matt Williams and the visiting members of the Provincial Team behind.
