Red Table Event At Loyal Vacation

Members of the Loyal Vacation Lodge No. 6209 in Wiveliscombe have recently announced their intent to Consecrate their own Royal Arch Chapter. In order to plan this process and gain an understanding of the initial level of interest, a ‘Red Table’ event was held at the Wiveliscombe Masonic Centre on the 27th of February. The event included an excellent discussion on how the Chapter was to be structured, including the furniture, the number of annual meetings and the offices to be filled. This discussion was followed by a delicious three course meal. The event was attended by a number of Loyal Vacation Lodge members who are also Companions of the Grecian Chapter No. 3718 (Metropolitan Grand Lodge) meeting at Great Queen Street, London, some of whom already hold office there.

It is hoped that the Chapter will be consecrated before the end of this calendar year. This excellent evening has firmly laid the first foundation of what will be an exciting new development for Freemasonry in and around Wiveliscombe. Membership is still open and enquiries are welcomed via the lodge website 6209.co.uk.
