3-in-1 at Backwell

The regular meeting of Backwell Lodge in January had lots going on – three things in fact!

Firstly, the main business of the evening was to raise Bro Terry Hathway to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.  WM, W.Bro John Dalby led his team through a very enjoyable ceremony with Bro Terry being an excellent candidate.

Secondly, the Lodge was also delighted to receive a healthy number of Brethren from the Forest of Mendip Lodge on their fraternal visit, including the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro Garry Sharp.

Thirdly and finally, it was the Lodge’s annual Burn’s Night themed Festive Board which included the traditional address to the haggis, this time performed by one of the visitors, W.Bro Colin Fraser.

At the Festive Board, the WM also took the opportunity to thank some of our visitors for standing in at the last minute to cover a couple of the offices at short notice.

Overall, another good masonic night all round!
