MASONIC MARKSMEN ON TARGET ON A SOGGY SUNDAY

The wet weather last Sunday proved no deterrent for members of the Somerset Masonic Shooting Club at their monthly Sunday morning clay pigeon shoot at the Mendip Shooting Ground near Wells. Eight determined gunners started the morning with a hearty breakfast before four of them braved the elements to compete against each other in a friendly 50-clay competition, whist four newcomers to the sport under the tutelage of Chairman Rob Collins were taught the rudiments of safety and technique before having a go at cracking some flying crockery themselves! A great day was had by all – despite the weather!
