A Fraternal Century

For one hundred years brethren of St Alphege and Eldon Lodges have enjoyed reciprocal fraternal visits, interrupted only by a world war and a covid pandemic! Neither of which quelled the enthusiasm and commitment from all concerned.

On this occasion the brethren from Eldon were in Bath again to witness the Passing of Brother Tom to the Degree of Fellowcraft. A ceremony well-orchestrated by their Director of Ceremonies John.

A happy festive board followed and the only dampener on the evening being their need to leave early to catch the last train home – missing the apple crumble with custard followed by a glass of port!

Brethren from St Alphege Lodge first visited Eldon on 11th July 1925 and not only look forward to their next sojourn to Clevedon in May next year, but to help celebrate Eldon Lodge’s 150th anniversary in September 2028.
