The Future is Bright at RPL 291

Rural Philanthropic Lodge is one of the only Lodges in Somerset, if not the whole of England, who hold an annual Lodge of Instruction demonstration meeting, followed by a lunch with their partners and guests.

All of the officers take the role they would be taking after the next Installation meeting (in February), this year Ian Chedzey took on the role of Master for the meeting, performing an Initiation. in admirable fashion.

The meeting is to help them practice the ritual and their new position for the forthcoming year in a more formal but relaxed setting. All of them demonstrating how good they are with very little prompting.

The Lunch that followed was as usual first class and a choice of starter followed Salmon, Roast Turkey or Roast Beef, cooked by the ever hard working John Chinn.

With over 40 members and their wives attending it really was a stand out event for the Lodge and Masonry in general.
