New Masons & Their Partners’ Meeting Held At Nailsea
The first New Masons & Partners meeting of the season took place on Saturday morning (27th Sept) at Nailsea Masonic Hall. The event was organised by the Provincial Mentor, Ray Conneely, and it’s purpose was to give our new brethren and partners the opportunity to learn more about Freemasonry, especially in the Province of Somerset.

The meeting was opened by Barrie Palmer (APGM) Who spoke about what a new Mason can expect in the first few years.
The following Brethren then spoke in turn on the following topics……
Russ Woodland – Discussed Freemasonry and it’s involvement in the Community.
Steve Collings – Spoke about the Central Masonic Charity (MCF) and Charitable Giving
Peter Murray- Described the Provincial Almoner’s role.
Steve Poland – Talked about the role of the Membership Team
Mike Norton –Gave an insight on Mentoring
Tom Beasley – Discussed the benefits of getting involved with the Adair Club
After the talks, the Temple was opened for everyone to look around and ask questions. A sumptuous buffet was then enjoyed to finish the event.
The next New Masons & Partners evening will be held at Bridgwater on 17th October. If you are interested in attending please contact mentor@pglsom.org
