Freemasons Support the Great Western Air Ambulance

On Wednesday 23rd July members of Wraxall Lodge and King Alfred Lodge visited the Great Western Air Ambulance base , to present cheques to help with their voluntary work.

Phil Lewis raised the money during his year as master of Wraxall Lodge, but due to serious illness during his time as immediate past master he was unable to make the presentation until this month. He was also aware that his mother Lodge, King Alfred wished to make a presentation, and so it was arranged that members from both Lodges would make a joint visit and presentation..

Wraxall lodge No 9011 presented £3341, and King Alfred Lodge No 3169 £600.

The members were met by Samantha Ebrahim, the Fundraiser for the Charity, who gave us a short talk on the work of GWAA, which was followed by a tour of the site, which included showing us the training room and equipment they carry.

The helicopter was out on an emergency call during the visit, but returned just as everyone was about to leave. However, due to the severity of the incident the party was not allowed to get up close, but did manage to get a photo.
