Father And Daughter Walk For Charity.

In April 2024, Alan Chambers of Tynte Lodge in Bridgwater, had open heart surgery after he collapsed at the Bridgwater Lodges combined ladies’ weekend in Torquay.

On the 17th May 2025, together with his daughter Claire, Alan undertook the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge: a 26 km (just over 16 miles) walk from Corfe Castle, Dorset and raised £2000 for the British Heart Foundation.

Alan said “about £1500 came from the Masons – both personal donations and from several lodges and I’m very pleased with the money raised for this good cause. It was a tough walk in the heat but worth it”.

Well done to Alan and Claire on a fantastic achievement!
