Passing At Portcullis With Local Donations

The April meeting of Portcullis 2038, Langport was a Passing ceremony for Brother Morgan Jewell, which was carried out in the usual exemplary fashion by the Worshipful Master and his team. During the meeting the Lodge accepted the Charity Steward’s proposal for several donations to Local Charities: £200 to Curry Rivel Cricket Club to replace storm damaged equipment, a further £200 donation to the Charlton Mackrell village hall roof appeal and finally a £400 donation towards a replacement bench for the Langport Town garden – which was unfortunately recently vandalised. The members and visitors then adjourned to The Langport Arms for a splendid carvery Festive Board. The May 2025 meeting for Portcullis will be an initiation ceremony.
