St Cecilia Ladies Weekend

St. Cecilia Lodge meeting at Wedmore, closed their Masonic season with a wonderful
and well attended Ladies Festival weekend at the Langstone Hotel in Dawlish, Exeter. The
weather over the weekend proved to be absolutely perfect with the sunshine generating a lot
of smiles and a very relaxed atmosphere. This was our chance to show our heartfelt
appreciation of our ladies, who, without their forbearance and support, we would not be able
to operate as effectively as we do.

The generosity of the guests was amazing and the raffle along with a “heads ‘n tails” for a
litre of whisky raised in total £450. This, along with the money from the March meeting raffle
and money already donated to the Worshipful Master’s charity SSAFA (Soldiers’, Sailors’
and Airmen’s Family Association) brought the total donated to a staggering £2,130 in the
year. The Lodge has also received many letters of appreciation for the help they have given,
including the Director of the organisation.

A very big “Thank You” to everyone who
contributed, and we hope to repeat the event next year.
